Q. What is a Sip and Dab event?
A. Relaxing, stress free, social, artful entertainment. We are a mobile business hosting public events in local restaurants, bars, breweries and wineries. Check our calendar for dates and venues. A Northern Michigan artist leads you step by step through the painting of the night. You will create a wonderful piece of artwork to take home in just three fun filled hours! We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled event time to get the seat of your choice. Adult events are 3 hours with breaks for dry time. In some cases venues may be a bar location where you must be 21 to enter.
Q. How much does a Sip and Dab event cost?
A. Events cost $35-$45. Fundraisers are priced slightly higher.
Q. Should I sign up in advance?
A. It is recommend that you sign up in advance because of limited seating, many events will sell out. You can register on the website or give us a call and we will be happy to walk you through the registration process. If you happen to decide the day of the event that you would like to join in a sold out session give us a call for availability. In the case that a prior cancellation occurred, we may have a spot for you.
Q. What does the price of the event include?
A. The artist, easels, canvas, paint, brushes, and aprons are included. Refreshments and alcohol are not included in the adult events. The cost of registration includes the supplies and instruction. You will be responsible to the venue for the food and drinks that you consume thoughout the three hour session.
Q. Should I wear old clothes?
A. Aprons are provided, but we do recommend that you wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting paint on…. it could happen!
Q. How early should I arrive for an event?
A. Arriving 10-15 minutes early to be signed in, make a seat selection and to order your first beverage is highly recommened.
Q. Do you have a cancellation policy?
A. We will provide you with a full refund or allow you to reschedule with 48 hours notice. Please make cancellations via email or by phone. This provides us the opportunity to fill the space. Sip and Dab will charge the event fee for reservations not cancelled 48 hours in advance. Public classes are subject to cancellation without a minimum of 10 attendees. Cancellations are very rare and customers will be notified via phone and/or email of cancelled classes and refunded.
Q. Can I see events planned months in advance?
A. No, we will post the upcoming months events in the last two weeks of the previous month. However, we are always updating our schedule with new venues and new events. Q. Can I bring my own bottle of alcohol, wine, or beer (BYOB)?
A. No. Most venues offer great drinks and specials. If the event is listed as a BYOB session you may.
Q. Will the painting I missed repeat?
A. Popular paintings will repeat! You can let us know as well and we can consider another event at that time.
Q. Does a Sip and Dab private event fit my corporate team building event?
A. Do you have a group of employees that like to have fun while drinking and eating?
Q. Is there a private event minimum?
A. We require a 10 person minimum charge for a private event of $45 per person. This does not mean you must have at least 10 people attend! However, you will be charged for a min of 10 people even if you only have 6 people in your party.
Q. Can I have a Sip and Dab Kids Private event?
A. Yes, we have a 10 child minimum charge which is $200. However, we can accommodate up to fourty children at your location.

Q. How do I know if Sip and Dab Kids is right for my child?
A. Children 8 and younger will need to be accompanied by their parents. We find that children 8 and older can independently follow along however this is always up to the parents discretion. Children and adults of all ages are welcome at Sip and Dab Kids events. Even though adults are welcome, no alcoholic beverages are ever served at a Sip and Dab Kids events.
Q. Do you have an age requirement to attend a Sip and Dab event?
A. Yes. No children are allowed at a Sip and Dab event. Attendees must be at least 16 years of age. Events in bars do not allow anyone under the age of 21. Please read the description of each event carefully when registering for any additional information.
